STRIDE R.M.L.I. -Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service & Good conduct Medal George V Admiral's uniform named CH. 6754  (B.288) J. A. STRIDE PTE. R.F.R. With copy service details . His papers show he enlisted 10th October 1888 into the Chatham division Royal Marine Light Infantry. It shows he was born in Handsworth, London in December 1870 and was a 'Porter' on enlistment. He appears to have transferred to the Portsmouth Division before returning to Chatham Division and served on H.M.S. 'Camperdown' and H.M.S. 'Victoria' in the 1890s. At the end of his enlistment period he enrolled in the Royal Fleet Reserve July 1906. Service papers confirm WWI service.Not entitled to the clasp however Condition as shown in photographs

Farmer 1st Dgn Gds Queens South Africa Clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 Alfred Farmer was born in Lambeth, London and enlisted for a short service engagement with the 1st Dragoon Guards in London 8th February 1900 aged 18yrs, 9months. He gave his occupation as 'Hammerman'. He saw active service in South Africa from 8th January 1901- 14th November 1903. He transferred to the Army reserve 8th March 1908 and was fully discharged 7th February 1912. Condition as shown in photographs

Arthur John Barker and Wilfred Stanley Barker Arthur John Barker was born in Hampsthwaite in 1887, the eldest son of Harry and Ellen Barker. The 1911 census records him as working as a farm labourer. His father was a farmer and he was living with his parents, his sister Nelly and brother Wilfred at Clarence House, Hampsthwaite. He enlisted at Castleford with service no. 5387 serving as a rifleman in the 1st 8th battalion Prince of Wales West Yorkshire Regt. He was killed in action 11th July 1916 and is buried in the Blighty Valley cemetery, Authille, France. Wilfred Stanley Barker was born in Hampsthwaite 1900 and was the second son of Harry and Ellen Barker. He enlisted at Harrogate 42622 Pte. in the 1st Bn. Leicester Regt. He was killed in action 21st July 1918 aged 18 and buried in Klein- Vierstraat British cemetery. An opportunity to obtain a pair of plaques to siblings both of whom sadly died during WWI. Copy accompanying paperwork as shown. Would be entitled to WWI medals (not included). Both plaques drilled at 12 o clock. Condition as shown in photographs.
