Farmer 1st Dgn Gds Queens South Africa Clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 Alfred Farmer was born in Lambeth, London and enlisted for a short service engagement with the 1st Dragoon Guards in London 8th February 1900 aged 18yrs, 9months. He gave his occupation as 'Hammerman'. He saw active service in South Africa from 8th January 1901- 14th November 1903. He transferred to the Army reserve 8th March 1908 and was fully discharged 7th February 1912. Condition as shown in photographs

Arthur John Barker and Wilfred Stanley Barker Arthur John Barker was born in Hampsthwaite in 1887, the eldest son of Harry and Ellen Barker. The 1911 census records him as working as a farm labourer. His father was a farmer and he was living with his parents, his sister Nelly and brother Wilfred at Clarence House, Hampsthwaite. He enlisted at Castleford with service no. 5387 serving as a rifleman in the 1st 8th battalion Prince of Wales West Yorkshire Regt. He was killed in action 11th July 1916 and is buried in the Blighty Valley cemetery, Authille, France. Wilfred Stanley Barker was born in Hampsthwaite 1900 and was the second son of Harry and Ellen Barker. He enlisted at Harrogate 42622 Pte. in the 1st Bn. Leicester Regt. He was killed in action 21st July 1918 aged 18 and buried in Klein- Vierstraat British cemetery. An opportunity to obtain a pair of plaques to siblings both of whom sadly died during WWI. Copy accompanying paperwork as shown. Would be entitled to WWI medals (not included). Both plaques drilled at 12 o clock. Condition as shown in photographs.

3rd Dragoon Guards WWI Trio Casualty Plaque -1914-15 Star -War Medal -Victory Medal GS-7901Pte. A. Miles 3rd DGS WWI Death Plaque named Albert Miles. Died of wounds 31st May 1915 aged 28 serving with the 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales own) son of William and Maryann Miles of Brant House, Borley, Ombersley, Droitwich, Worcestershire. Commemorated at the Hazebrouck Community Cemetery, France. Medal index card indicates he entered France for active service on 18th May 1915 and died of wounds on 31st May 1915. Condition as shown in photographs.

He could be entitled to a King's South Africa but definitely some First World War Medals. His WWI Index card indicates he transferred to the Labour Corps in 1917 and he is entitled to a First World War 1914 Trio. Condition as shown in photographs
