With copy documentation, Royal Humane Society Archive 18128. John Neil Private 46th Regiment. 6.30pm on 21st May 1868 at Pembroke Dock, William John Forsyth fell into the water, John Neil jumped into the sea fully clothed and rescued the child. He was awarded the bronze medal for this action.
