John Mayhew was born in Chelsea, London around 1891 and enlisted at Hounslow serving with the 1st 4th (City of Bristol) Bn Gloucestershire Regt. He was killed in action 9th October 1917. He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot memorial, panel 72-75 and was the son of the late William and Joanna Mayhew.
