No. 46 Sepoy Sohbat Kahn 59th- R.F.L.S.
Served for the 59th Scinde Rifles (Frontier Force) during WWI. The regiment served with great gallantry on the Western Front fighting in the battles of Givenchy, Neuve Chapelle, Aubers Ridge, the second battle of Ypres and the battle of Loos. In 1916, the regiment served in Mesopotamia and fought in the bloody battles for the relief of Kut al Amara and the capture of Baghdad. For it’s gallant conduct during the war, it was made a Royal Regiment in 1921. A good Mons Star to a heavily engaged Indian Regiment.
