John Neil Private 46th Regiment. 6.30pm on 21st May 1868 at Pembroke Dock, William John Forsyth fell into the water, John Neil jumped into the sea fully clothed and rescued the child. He was awarded the bronze medal for this action. Condition as shown in photographs

2365 Sepoy. Churanji Lal 1-41 Dogras During WWI the regiment served on the Western Front in France between 9th August 1913 and 31st August 1915 as part of the 7th Meerut Division. From 20th September- 30th November serving with the 22nd Indian Infantry Brigade in Defence of the Suez Canal. Then serving in Mesopotamia at the battle's preceding the efforts to break the Battle of Kut. A good fighting Indian Infantry WWI medal. Condition as shown in photographs

-1914-15 Star, War & Victory Medal 12491 Pte. G. Mitchell S. GDS. Copy documentation, Commonwealth War graves, medal index card, regimental history and from the local newspaper, 2 modern photographs of Dunfermline War memorial. Killed in action 27th September 1915 aged 30. Son of Elizabeth Arnott 101 Nethertown, Dunfermline. Commemorated at Philosphe British Cemetery, Mazingarbe. 1 of 106 Scots Guardsmen killed in action that day during the Battle of Loos. Newspaper cutting states that he was serving in the 2nd battalion. Before the war, he was serving an apprenticeship with Messrs Henry Reid & Son and was a member of the Young Scots Society. In letter from a fellow guardsman, it states 'I am very sorry to state that our Corporal (Mitchell) was killed on the first morning of the engagement when we were laying back in the reserve trenches. A stray shell came over our way and a splinter struck poor Mitchell.' He enlisted in November 1914 and had been in France since 22nd May 1915. Condition as shown in photographs

1914-15 Star Trio 9069 Cpl. J. Mayhew Gloucestershire Regt. Mounted on modern clasp for display purposes Accompanied by original photograph. John Mayhew was born in Chelsea, London around 1891 and enlisted at Hounslow serving with the 1st 4th (City of Bristol) Bn Gloucestershire Regt. He was killed in action 9th October 1917. He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot memorial, panel 72-75 and was the son of the late William and Joanna Mayhew. Condition as shown in photographs

Richards Boy 1. CL H.M.S. Hecla Condition as shown in photographs William was born on 28th December 1864 in Warwickshire and enlisted on 28th December 1882 for 10 years service. Unfortunately he had a very short naval career secombing to Typhoid fever on 20th 11th 1882 from H.M.S. Hecla in which he served during the Egypt campaign.

1914-15 Star  War Medal Victory Medal S 13773 Pte. W. Lamb CAM’N. HIGHRS.  WWI Death Plaque named William Lamb  Original Buckingham Palace letter forwarded with the medals, original document confirming 1914-15 Star delivery, original registered envelope, copy photos of war memorial and original ‘History of the 7th Battalion Cameron Highlanders’ Sandlands and Macloed book printed 1922, copy Commonwealth War Graves commission confirming service with the 7th Battalion.  Killed in Action on the 28th June 1916, aged 25. The son of John and Jane Lamb of 79 Gateside St. Largs Ayrshire. Commemorated at the Bois- Carre Military Cemetery, Haisnes.  Copy War Diary listing 28th of June Bethune. After discharge of gas 4 patrols of 39 men attempted to raid enemy trenches. 3 patrols held up owing to uncut wire. 4th patrol bombed the German front line and returned. 9 killed including Lamb and 19 wounded in these actions.  A well-researched Cameron Highlanders casualty group with some original documentation and original battalion history book.  Condition as shown in photographs
